This method is miraculous. I was in basketball team during HS & slowest among the entire squad of 20, tho i was Starter & position 2-3. My first-step tech & short dash was the fastest but my topspeed was ridiculously slow. One time in a drill, i truly exerted myself to being faster until after that 1 drill run cycle, my quad&glutes instantly couldnt move anymore. I was so ashamed of miself Then just months, was entire HS P.E final tests, including 60-100m dash/sprint. The night before, i watched this man Son Of Wind tech & taught myself by nothing but imitating, shadow traning the whole noon-night Result.... Fastest in whole school by milesssss tho i had to walked myself some meters before finish line just bcs i was afraid of being hated by peers

I first met Carl Lewis at the Mt. SAC Invitational in 1982. He uses and teaches the concept that the BACKSWING of the arms is what generates both the knee lift and production of ground forces with each foot strike, when sprinting. That, and STAYING RELAXED were his keys to success in the 1980's and 90's.

The IDEA is to keep control of pace/rhythm. Considering the arms and legs are in sync and the arms can move faster, you use the arms to increase the pace/rhythm. Thus you run faster....

That's called "cheek-to-cheek" (No Diddy). Your hand goes from your face to you bottom as fast as you can. If you have like 3 pound hand weights train with those and when you're running regular you absolutely will run fast. As your arms go your legs will follow. When you get tired focus on your form and stay pumping.
