this is the best method to use when collecting wyvern eggs on rag, the methods so easy it can even be done day one of any player spawn and any day of a wipe (if playing unofficial)
this is the method iv used for years and years which freely gives me between 5 and 10 minutes free roam within the trench itself, and no wyverns to bother me!
when done correctly i can keep flying from one side of the trench to the other with brand new eggs spawning every time
this really is the best way to get wyvern eggs without dying even once

As a man or woman stranded, naked, freezing, and starving on the unforgiving shores of a mysterious island called ARK, use your skill and cunning to kill or tame and ride the plethora of leviathan dinosaurs and other primeval creatures roaming the land. Hunt, harvest resources, craft items, grow crops, research technologies, and build shelters to withstand the elements and store valuables, all while teaming up with (or preying upon) hundreds of other players to survive, dominate... and escape! Ark survival evolved! The game is played from either a third-person or first-person perspective and its open world is navigated on foot or by riding a prehistoric animal. Players can use firearms and improvised weapons to defend against hostile humans and creatures, with the ability to build bases as defense on the ground and on some creatures. The game has both single-player and multiplayer options. Multiplayer allows the option to form tribes of members in a server. The max number of tribe mates varies from each server. In this mode all tamed dinosaurs and building structures are usually shared between the members. There is a PvE mode where players cannot fight each other

This trench is much like the World Scar from Scorched Earth DLC, although it is wider and has more Wyverns.
The trench is right next to the lava biome and the lava mountain. These mountains are dangerous and contains high level dinosaurs. It is recommended not to go there. Bringing extra armor is also a good idea as the Arthropluera can use their acid attack and deplete it. If you feel confident, you can attempt to knock out a female Wyvern or kill an Alpha Wyvern which gives you 50 Wyvern milk. Killing a regular female wyvern is a waste of time, however, as milk can only be collected from a unconscious female wyvern. This will help you in the process of imprinting and raising the baby Wyvern.
