As a matter of fact changing the voltage is totally safe since the harmful limit is decided by your GPU bios and it won't let the card go further than the safe limit set by factory.

when it comes to any GPU with gddr6 Vram like the RTX 20 series/ RX 5000 series or newer, you need to pay closer attention to performance when overclocking the Vram, unlike gddr5 before it, it doesn't crash at instability, but instead actually decreases performance due to error correction, however you can generally go with higher increments in speed compared to the core-clocks

As a starting point, you can even start off with +150 memory clock and +300 memory clock and that's still gonna be stable. And then increase the value from there. Next showing us how to undervolt too. These two combination are game changer.

Thanks, much appreciation for this guide. On my RTX 2060 Super I was struggling to get above 30fps for games like Jedi Survivor and Dying Light 2 on even 1080p in-game settings. With a few small adjustments from what I had seen in this vid, I get a solid 50 fps or so now on Dying Light 2 thus far, and hit 60 in good spots - all on 1440p, I didn't want to push it to my native 4k as the temp was getting into higher 70 range. I try to keep it between 60 and 74 for the highest of temp range. Thanks again, I was getting rather stressed out and desperate for performance, I was about to save up nearly 8,000 AUD for a rtx 4090 gaming rig. You saved me thus far a lot of money, stress and worry. (Sorry for this long comment, I wanted to share my appreciation for this after so long trying different guides and methods). 😁💯

I'm having a 2070, but i never got the flickers that you did. What i realized though - after running the test for a while on high clocks, i started having major fps drops and the fans started to make a weird noise.I ended up turning clock speed down to +115 from +220, and now it's stable and good.

I love a good nonsense guide where the maker has no idea what they're doing. Moving the voltage slider is fine - it will not "mess up" your card. Increasing the voltage limit will usually do absolutely nothing because you're usually POWER limited. If you max out both of these you will get higher power draw, which will lead to higher temperatures. The higher temperature is the only thing that will degrade the card faster. Running a static fan speed is not a good idea, , go into the settings and make a CUSTOM FAN CURVE. I also noticed you only ever referred to the offsets. It is important to explain to people that they need to monitor their actual clock speed (on the left). Boost bins are the minimum amount of clock speed change on a GPU, this means that the slider that you're moving doesn't actually tell you the whole story about what clock speed the card is targeting.

Kombuster isn't showing my gpus power usage or temp, only the fps, it says like -1 degrees celcius and then 1% power usage, which is definitely wrong

3060 Ti FE Got a +220 core and +1000 memory OC. Temperature never exceeded 78C. Went from 98 to 105 FPS in Forza Horizon 5 at 1080p Extreme preset.

Tbh I cant overclock my gpu at all because when I play Fortnite it goes to like 90c😂 so i did the fan thing on my older gpu and it sounded like a freaking jet engine 😆

Everytime I use the msi afterburner and turn up any setting, the msi kombustor stats dont move at all, I looked at the temperature and fps and they all stay the same no matter what i turn up or how much i turn it up, please help.

I just got my very first prebuilt gaming PC via UPS today and I don’t know shit about gaming PC’s!! I’m still trying to figure out if the company that built my PC already installed and updated ALL of my drivers and my motherboard BIOS or if everything is just fresh outta the box?! I do know that supposedly windows 11 came with my PC and it’s already installed… I have a ASUS prime X670-P wifi motherboard with 32GB of ram, ryzen 9 7900X CPU and a ZOTAC gaming GeForce RTX 4070 ( I assume even tho it says zotac gaming on it it’s still an NVIDIA GPU?! ) all I wanna do is get everything updated, overclocked if needed and set to maximum performance to squeeze out every single frame i possibly can!!

I have a laptop rtx 3070 ti and I pushed my overclock up to 350 before it crashed then lowered it by 40 like you said. Then I was getting about 500 fps in 600x800 resolution. I then raised my mem clock up about 300 and the stress test was still fine but when I did a benchmark in MW2 it crashed. Do I have to raise the memory clock too? Or can I just do the one?

ive got an old pc, cpu: i5 4570 3.5Ghz Gpu: GTX1050 Ram: 16 GB DDR3 HDD: 1TB SSD: 500GB i can play fortnite solos at around 70 fps (tops 100), but i just got FC24 and i get very bad fps drops, lag, pixels and just crazy bad quality overall. How can i fix it? cause on GTA5 i get a steade 60-100 fps, while in fifa i cant even get 30-40 fps without dropping back to 5-10 fps i wanna upgrade in the future ofcourse but i want to fix it before i get my new pc, cuz FC24 wasnt cheap... i feel like overclocking my gpu isnt really gonna do the trick entirely, cause ive tried many things already and im considering just resetting my pc and reinsdtalling all games cause i get lag spikes on every game i play. anyone has tips?

Question followed steps and gained around 20fps on COD (115fps) played one game, benchmark was around 190ish fps. Went back to software and didn’t change anything just let benchmark run fps started dropping rapidly. Tried changing but now fps on benchmark is around 80 went back to COD and now running normal 75-80ish fps. Restarted cpu and went back to program and benchmark started around 220fps then dropped right back down to 80ish. Is my GPU failing or possible issue with afterburner cause i noticed going back to software temps only around 50F and whn first set it was around 70F, so temps way down and FPS?
