Bro... I swear I haven’t seen this good of videos in regard to this genre and topic being music production and tutorial since I started producing.. IF EVEN THEN¡ Hope that made sense lol but I’ve been producing for years and know most everything I’ve heard you say... but am still watching lol. Finally someone who teaches production how it is and can be. Everyone tries to sound complex for ego and it in turn hurts the viewers ability to learn and you just have a natural gift for this brobro. I couldn’t have said this stuff better. Thanks for this. I recently got back into FL studio and for the life of me I couldnt remember the plugin name for the pingpong effect. Damn it, PANOMATIC was the bloody thing. lol. Anyway, after watching this, I am now a bit more edumacated on the mastering of stereo and mono. cheers pal.

Great video. Do you know when you said the snare clap bass kick etc should be in mono but they weren’t on your mixer?

You don't have to use the mixer to make things mono. The kick and snare samples, and I believe even the clap are all already mono. Also, you don't have to make them 100% mono either. For example, the synth bass has the sub frequencies in mono, but the high end are spread left and right to fill more space and make it more noticeable. When it comes to that, it's a matter of taste. I recommend doing a mono test on the entire mix and just use your ears and listen to the kick, snare/clap, and bass. If they still sound solid, then you're doing good.

So you either use Maximus or Ozone? And your aim is to keep between 0 and 1?

sometimes I use both...keep it at -1 true peak
