Sir! GREAT! I have to say it for an old time radio show. Everyone was trying to explain it to me. Haha. It's kind of silly. You can SEE how early settlers came up with the name...new found land! Why say it another way? Haha. But....that being said.....I need to say it the way it's said. So, again, VERY helpful and thank you!!!!!

Technically newfound Lind is the correct pronunciation and the entire province says it wrong. Every other place in the world is lind why is the island diffefent? A lot of people back home can’t even pronounce their own last names properly like the rest of the world does. I’m a firm believer that newfoundlanders can’t speak properly and just claim everyone else is wrong to cover that up lol
