1.) If you're talking about yourself, you say 고 싶어요. • 저 집에 가고 싶어요 - I wanna go home. • 영화 보고 싶어요 - I wanna watch a movie. 2.) If you're talking about someone else's wants or desires, you say 고 싶어 해요 • 에지씨는 집에 가고 싶어 해요 - Yeji wants to go home. • 저희 엄마는 영화 보고 싶어 해요 - My mom wants to watch a movie. • 저희 엄마는 영화 보고 싶어 하세요 - My mom wants to watch a movie. (In a more polite manner) 3.) If this was a reported speech (said by someone else) you say: • 에지씨는 집에 가고 싶대요 - Yeji said she wants to go home. • 저희 엄마는 영화 보고 싶으시대요 - My mom said she wants to watch a movie. (싶으시대요 Is a more polite form of 싶대요)

Can someone briefly explain why 영화를 and 영화가 are both acceptable
@AKADriver
@AKADriver 5 жыл бұрын
I think it's a change in nuance. If you say 영화가 it puts more emphasis on the fact that mom wants to watch a movie in particular, as opposed to TV or something else. Whereas 영화를 is just the direct object of 보다; mom wants to see a movie, and this isn't being presented in contrast to other things, 영화를 보다 is just the thing mom wants to do.

먹어싶어/다 is wrong 먹고 싶어/싶다 is right. The only difference is that 싶다 is dictionary form, which means that you can then conjugate the 다 into anything appropriate. It is also used in writing As a beginner just keep using 먹고 싶어요. 아/어(요) form

I'm not a native korean speaker but i just want to share some info for you! 저는 is the formal word for 나는. 난 is the shorter term for 나는. 제,네,내 are used to show possesion. 제 and 내 means "my". 네 (pronounce as ni) means "your" 제 is the shorter term for 저희. 내 is the shorter term for 나의. 네 is the shorter term for 너의. 의 is like the 's in english. ex:미리의 가방. Use -라고 after a noun: 나라고 했어 (someone) said that it's me Use -다고 after a verb: 눈이 온다고 했어 (someone) said it's snowing -대 is short for -다고 해. In the same way, 래 is short for -라고 해. You can even shorten -다고 했어 to -댔어, -다고 하는데 to -다는데, etc. Basically just remove the middle -고 and smash 다 and 하 together
