00:30 - Two Ways To Scan a QR Code From a Screenshot
00:43- Scan a QR Code From Google Lens
01:43 - Scan a QR Code From a QR Code Scanner App
In this video, we'll show you how to scan a QR Code from a screenshot, so you can access the information it holds without any hassle. So, let's get started!
You can scan QR Code from a screenshot in two ways.
One is through Google Lens, and the other is through a QR Code scanner app.
Now, let’s see how both of these work!
The first method we’ll cover involves using Google Lens. This handy tool lets you scan a QR Code from a screenshot with just a few simple taps. First, download and open the Google Lens app.
Then go on, clicking the gallery icon in the top right corner. Select the screenshot with the QR Code.
The Lens will analyze the screenshot and recognize the QR Code. Click on the QR Code to proceed. Lastly, follow the link or action prompted by the QR Code.
But if you don’t want to use Google Lens, you can use Google Photos to scan the QR Code from a screenshot.
First, download and open the Google Photos app and find the screenshot with the QR Code.
Click on the Google Lens icon located at the bottom of the screen.
Google Photos will analyze the image and recognize the QR Code. Just tap on it to follow the link or action
Now, let’s see how to do the needful through a QR Code scanner app. Here’s what you need to do!
To scan the QR Code, you'll need a QR Code scanner app on your smartphone.
Go to your app store, whether it's the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and search for "QR code scanner."
Choose a well-rated and reliable app that suits your preferences, and then install it on your device.
Once the QR Code scanner app is installed, open it on your smartphone.
The app will likely require camera permissions to function correctly. Make sure to grant the necessary permissions when prompted.
Now, from the QR Code scanner app, look for an option that allows you to scan from the gallery or photos.
This option might be called "Scan from Gallery" or "Import from Photos," depending on the app you installed.
Select the screenshot that contains the QR Code from your photo gallery.
The app will display the screenshot, and you may need to align the QR Code within the scanning frame.
Once the QR Code is correctly positioned within the scanning frame, the app will automatically detect and scan it. This process usually takes just a few seconds.
Ta-da! The app has successfully scanned the QR Code from the screenshot.
It will now display the information embedded in the QR Code.
This could be a website link, contact information, text, or any other data associated with the code.
Scanning a QR Code from a screenshot is a convenient way to access its contents without the need for a physical code.
Remember to save the screenshot, install a QR Code scanner app, and simply follow the steps we've covered. It's a quick and easy process that can come in handy in various situations.
