This is the most current version of the Windows 10 Screen Recorder. Press the Windows Key + the G key to bring up the Game Bar screen recorder. Alternatively, use Windows Search and type in "Game Bar". Both methods will open the Game Bar. You need Windows 10 to take advantage of this. The application looks a little different on my computer and not all of the keys are visible, like the record button, but using the shortcut mentioned in the video worked :). I imagine the differences are related to windows update version since this video was made a year ago. Thanks for the Video Kevin.

I tried this and my laptop says Gaming features aren’t available for the Window desktop or file explorer. To start a desktop broadcast, launch a game and then select Desktop during your broadcast setup.

I got the same error so I tried launching the "Xbox Console Companion" app and then tried again and was able to record... Maybe the will work for u, cheers :-)

You need to have an app or game open. While the game is open, press Windows + G then you can record ;) hope this helps

A better solution for general recording is start a zoom meeting and record it. Share your screen and then select what you want to record, whether it is your whole desktop or a specific app.

@@KevinK3vin0 The exact operation varies depending on what device you are on, but on the PC/Windows, just begin screen sharing, then scroll your mouse up to the center top edge of the screen. All the context menus appear. Click record. As soon as you end the meeting, A window will popup and convert the temp recording into 3 files. 1 is an MP4 of audio and video, another is an mp3 of sound only, and the hast is a text file of the chat. This conversion takes place AFTER your zoom meeting ends so don't be in a hurry to shut down your PC. It will take longer depending on how long the recording was.

I came across your video a few weeks ago and I tried it out today. Never realized I had the Game Bar on my laptop, thanks for that tip. You can also press windows + alt + R for an instant screen recorder. Sometimes it has a slow start but it works well. You can toggle the mic to be on or off so that it either just records the screens audio or records both the screens audio and your narration.
