a tip for mixing, if you let the flour in little by little and letting it disolve and sink into the latex before mixing in more, it makes the mixing more smooth.

Is it possible to use liquid latex for creating mirrored copies of items by turning the deformed thin layer of vulcanized latex inside out?
@SlaymanSFX9 ай бұрын
It's possible if you use a release agent and brush in layers of liquid latex. Its how they release liquid latex from silicone. Hope that helps!

My issue has always been finding the ratio of flower to latex but I'm slowly getting there

It takes some getting used to for sure. I start small and add as I go. Thanks for watching! 🥰

Does thickening it up help minimize the latex shrinkage?
@SlaymanSFX Жыл бұрын
Yes, The more filler you add will cause it to be stiff, but it also takes longer to cure.

hey! how the flour doesn't start having mold ?

Vaseline & Liquid Latex are not water, They are viscous enough for mixing agents though. Be sure when you store it, that It's in an air tight container and away from any humidity.

Add silica tab in storage …also use talc powder over it to dry out stickiness

Hi, i am new to liquid latex. I want to create folds in the neck and side of the face. The ones on the side of the face would need to be stretched out and sticking out, like a 3D effect. Instead of lying flat on the face. First question. How do you get this thing to stick to your face ? Do you simply apply liquid latex to your face and stick it on ?
@SlaymanSFX10 ай бұрын
Hello! Yes, I used liquid latex to adhere it to my face, Although Liquid Latex is not a true adhesive it does have sticky properties. I would recommend Spirit Gum or Pros Aide if you are needing to wear it for several hours. Pros Aide being the more expensive of the three products but its a medical grade adhesive and works better on areas that the body has more movement. I have a video of the Honey Comb application that shows how I applied it to my face as well as links to the products I use that can be found in most current video's description boxes I hope that helps!

@SlaymanSFX Question, would it work if I created a base with Play doh or some sort of clay ? And then paint liquid latex over it several times ?
@SlaymanSFX10 ай бұрын
@@Tina-vt8fk Sculpt your prosthetics, cover it in liquid latex on a non porous surface building a base at the bottom. This will then be one piece and you can attach it to your skin with liquid latex.

Ok so I can shape the play doh into the folds I need and then paint over it with latex and then remove and stick to the face ?

Can you use this to make pea sized balls out of this? And can you colour them. I have a serious reason for asking? Kind regards Mark.

@SlaymanSFX thanks, would I just roll these into small balls like I would with playdoh?
