If a burglar were to remove the stop moldings couldn't he pull this door straight off the hinges? If not, then the video should show how the security hinge pins work / why that's not possible.

Not if the screws are long enough to dig into the frame.

At that point he's using a Sawzall & flatbars - that's a lot more work and noise, presumably something a burglar wants to avoid. A determined burglar is gonna burgle. But they could just break a window.

What am I missing??? If the hinges are removed, how do these screws keep the door from being removed??? The door is not being ripped out of the frame. If that were the case, I can see the hingemate helping. The hinge removal allows the left part of the hinge to separate from the right side of the hinge, no matter WHAT the screws are. What am I missing???

Because the security pin in the door jamb protrudes into the drilled out hole in the side of the door; just like the latch or dead bolt protrudes from the door into the jamb on the knob side of the door. You replace one screw on each hinge so there are three "bolts" from the door into a newly drilled hole on the jamb and it prevents the door from being removed when the door is in the closed position.

All the screw holes on my hinges are offset, meaning this simple sounding solution will not work. Be sure to check your hinges before purchasing hinge pins.

You could drill hole through the non screw hole portion of the hinges.
