Another great tutorial ☺️ Thank you so much. Can’t wait to try to make my own shirred dress 👗 🥰 Just wondered if you could still shirr a top that needed a lining due to the fabric being a bit transparent, and if so would you line it first and then shirr or shirr and then line it? Any advice would be very much appreciated thank you ☺️ 🙏

Yes you can and it all depends. If you are shirring to make it stretchy then you could line it with a knit fabric and be fine but if you are using woven I would use the lining and main fabric as one and shirr it together

Can I use any bodice pattern piece and add extra width then do this method?

I would use fabric that is about 1.5 times or so bigger than the pattern piece. Shirr the fabric panel and then cut the pattern piece out of it. is that what you are asking?
