I started this channel in January of 2021 to share my knowledge of selling digital downloads on Etsy, or any other platform, as well as my experience with Print on demand. I do my best to bring you the most relevant content about selling print on demand and printables, creating interesting print on demand designs, testing myself print on demand products and their quality, as well as provide you with marketing tutorials, and so much more! Ahoy Mey!... in the end seems like signing up to both is a no brainer then focus on the strengths of each one and build up... certainly better then the horror stories i have been seeing about Etsy and tiktokshop especially... i'm just about to start so this was a great insight video for me Thank you and yes i will use your ref for 4thwall :)

Thanks Mey! I love how you are able to so clearly explain pros and cons and make comparisons. My big take away from this video is "what platform is right for you right now" I am one of those who get lost in big pictures and become paralyzed in the moment of action. I had started a payhip and then a FW shop for my small niche and of course began waffling between which I should use. This video helped me clarify. You are awesome!

@@MeyTribe I havent decided. I was on Etsy but than my store closed cause I couldn't pay the fees so these seem so much better. I didn't know they was something like this online it can help me so much

Thank you, Mey!! I'm going to have to listen to that again because I'm a complete dunce at setting up websites and things. At first you convinced me of Payhip, then, lol 4th Wall had me at Customer Service and pod. I'm totally conflict avoidant so fewer people, calmer me. lol.

I would have made both vids about Payhip and Fourthwall at the same time if I knew about both at the same time haha :) Just think to yourself what you wanna sell, what features are best for you. If you think, well- Payhip I will sell digital downloads and blog about the POD I am selling on marketplaces, But with Fourthwall i can sell both POD and digital files while blogging with Hostinger builder- Simply start a free account in both, don't connect a domain yet, and play with the building system, check templates for the site building, and decide based on what looks easier for you :)

Great comparison; it would be also be helpful if you mentioned the difference between the two platforms as far as MOR (Merchant of Record) with regards to the collection and remission of US sales tax and EU VAT/UK VAT, etc.

I understand it would be, but as someone who is not a lawyer or a tax consultant- I can get sued for anything I'd say. I also don't have my business in the US, UK or EU. So I really wouldn't know the taxes and regulations for each. I get that a lot of KZfaqrs talk about these things, they do that at their own risk.

You can create as many landing pages as you want, for 1 or multiple products. Or did you mean if they create the product page ?

Can you use your Printful account, order, let's say some notebooks and stickers you designed, and resell those products in your Payhip store under physical products? I like selling notebooks and stickers but I don't necessarily want to make them.

YES. Not sure if Printful would be the best way to do that, since their pricing is a bit higher, and they don't have bulk ordering discounts... Even thought heir notebooks are top quality! But maybe- also check Art of Where, I do know they have bulk pricing. Side note- you can also have that item on your Payhip shop and when an order is made- you make it manually with printful, so that is another way to make sure you don't spend too much money from the start.

Hey Mey one query Payhip and Fourthwall do they have customization option like Etsy ( post customer place the order i can do the customization or personalization as per customer 's requirements)? Also can i sell any type of digital products like wedding cards as an example. Thanks dear😊

Personalized POD items are not working the same as on Etsy. You'll need to always make a manual order. However, when it comes to digital files, if you need the item to be customised- the file the buyer downloads would then be instructions on what they need to send you- and you have their email address to send them the file you've made after it was personalized. You can sell any type of digital item you want- it's your shop.

I listened to the video and I wanted to ask a dumb question. Maybe you mentioned it and I missed it. Hpwever, on Payhip can you offer free digital downloads? I am asking because if I were to do that and I am on a plan that takes0 to 2% transaction fee- are they going to charge me for those downloads?

Yeah , did mention it In order to create a freebie you just create a digital product priced 0$ You won’t be charged commission - as any % from 0 is still nothing

It's not a coupon. You literally price the item 0$. Coupons are a different thing.

I am not making videos on Paypal... I am not a finance channel... also- I do not do onlyfans, and don't know other apps that allow these kind of images and videos to be sent. sorry.
