I have so many questions... - what is your liability around the place you up load the 'purchased art .. - how is the art connected to the token , I presume just the entry on site you choose to list - what happens if that site you list on goes away - how is the royalty guaranteed? Is it only when transacted on site you posted image - can the NFT then be sold on different platform ? - if someone buys it , are they then responsible for the safety of the digital file or are you for ever responsible

You’re pretty much right. The only artists who I think are really selling art are those who already have big followings or who are really really pushing it. The only ones I’ve sold have either been to people I know or if I lowered the price to almost nothing just to get them out there. I don’t think people are gonna get rich suddenly by selling nft’s but I think some market will emerge where these fit in. Not very many people really understand them now.

Yes there is so much getting listed it’s difficult. I think artists need to continue to promote their work through traditional means. Those with existing audiences and fans will have the upper hand. The curated sites are going to do a better job at promoting their artists I think.

Hey thanks for asking. The benefits aren't huge but what I can see are as follows: 1. Searchability/Organization: When you have your own collection, you can link specifically to that collection. Someone can click on the collection icon and it takes you to a display of what's in the collection. Without it, you can link to your profile but that also shows NFT's you own but didn't create (say you bought someone else's). The collection creates kind of a nice display/store for just what's in it. Rarible seems to lack in the ability to sort through the zillions of NFT's well and this allows you to be a little more searchable and organized. 2. Branding: You may want to separate your NFT's into different collections. Maybe you want to sell different kinds of art...for example a series of digital paintings and also animated GIF's but want separate "storefronts" for the two. It's a way to separate them out so someone could easily find the collection they're interested in. You can brand the collections differently with different icons, etc. Plus it's just kind of nice to see your collection name and logo come up instead of Rarible's generic one....it displays the same on OpenSea as well. 3. Up until recently, there were different options on OpenSea that were only available if you had your own collection...like listing in different currencies...but it seems those options are now available regardless of collection. Thank you so much for the feedback! Great question and I think a lot of people are trying to figure that out. My three pieces of advice are this: 1. Do your best to put quality work up that stands out to people. There is a bunch of garbage on the uncurated marketplaces to be perfectly honest. Make yours higher quality. 2. Don't get greedy. Put a reasonable price to start out and get sales (even a break-even price puts your artwork in someone else's collection to be sold later). Also keep your royalty modest for your first few. 3. Promote your work through other platforms like social media as you would with traditional art...try to drive whatever audience you have to your collection. I hope these helped a little. It's crazy out there and with so many people jumping into the market, it might take some effort to stand out and get noticed. Keep at it!

Hi Alex, thank you. Not that it’s currently set up. So price accordingly. There are “gas less” options available on min table and OpenSea but it’s a little different. The nft is not actually created until it’s bought but it seems to be a popular route.

I don’t know that there are any written rules. You could definitely link to the releases in the i lockable content. I would assume you should treat it similarly to how you’d sell a print...maybe keeping the model releases on file in case you’re ever questioned about it. This is uncharted territory though.

Hi Patrick, thanks for the support. On Rarible, you can upload anything you have the rights to. I can't find anything restricting it to digital content. If you digitized a photo or other work that you otherwise had rights to, you're good. In fact, the photos might be a great idea. On some of the other platforms that are curated, they may have different restrictions. Good luck!

Ya your NFT’s in your wallet will show up in OpenSea when you connect.

On Rarible, Mintable, OpenSea....not a problem. If you're trying to get into SuperRare, they'll want to see that stuff.

I always put an instant sale price. If you don't, you will be able to accept or decline bids. I do not believe it's really an auction that lasts for a certain time limit. On OpenSea, you can put something on an auction and they have a fair amount of information on how their auctions work.

Many of them never sell. I really think you need to have an existing audience who wants to buy your work on these kind of marketplaces.

Hi. Gas fees are paid for every transaction on the Ethereum blockchain. When you transfer funds, when you mint a token, when you list a token, when you sell a token, etc. they add up.

Hi! There’s a new feature since I made this video called “Lazy Minting.” It’s a good option but understand it’s not actually creating the NFT. It’s uploading the art and showing it on the Rarible site. If/when somebody buys it, Rarible will mint the NFT and the buyer will pay the gas fees. It’s a great way to get your art out there but has downsides. It’s not available in other places like OpenSea and the buyer knows they’ll have to pay more to cover the minting fee. But you can play around with it at absolutely no cost.

The benefit of Rarible is you do not need to be approved or verified and could literally start listing in a few minutes. There is a verification feature that you should pursue at some point. It gives you a yellow checkmark to show other artists that Rarible has verified you're not a bot and should make buyers more comfortable. I will add though that regardless of verification or not, when you upload your artwork is one among hundreds of thousands if not millions of others. If people are expecting to just jump on the site and have people buy their work they usually get disappointed. The most successful sellers are those who are promoting their work outside of the platform through social media and other traditional means. Hope this helps, best of luck if you decide to go for it.

Ya it’s a circus out there. I think applying to SuperRare is probably a better place but harder to get accepted. I think artists still need to promote their work and those with audiences already wanting their art are gonna be able to sell. Thanks for the feedback!
