Essentially you can turn your Google Sites website into an online store.
I share how you can use both Ecwid and Stripe to sell products on Google Sites.
Ecwid is free but limited to 5 products unless you upgrade to a paid plan. However, allows you to either embed your entire store or single products on your pages.
The entire checkout process is done through Ecwid, however, the advantage is customers do not have to leave your website to make a purchase.

Stripe is unlimited and free to use. You only pay a small fee per transaction.
Stripe allows your to add your products in Stripe and create a product payment page. Simply link your product payment page with the buttons on your Google Site product pages.
The checkout process is done through Stripe and not on your Google Site.

Great tutorial. Easy to follow. I would think the Stripe method is better not just more product also for SEO because you keep "onsite" all product content description. . Would be nice to see how you could add backend functionality using G sheets and triggers or other flow type software.

Hello, thanks for the information. How would stripe work if the customer is buying several Different products on my Google site? does stripe give the option of having a shopping cart that shows the customer shopping all the different products they added their cart just like Ecwid will do? I ask because I would prefer just using stripe over Ecwid but concerned about different products being bought altogether. Kindly respond, thank you

Hi There, I have set up a free ecwid account added the products etc however when I click add "buy now button" it asks me to upgrade and does not show the code as you have demonstrated

All good now, I contacted Ecwid and apparently they were doing testing on subscription plans at the time so that's why it wouldn't work...I've since been able to get the code and embed on my site

it doesnt seem to work when i try embedding, tells me to upgrade to business. When i looked at the plans to see what's included behind those price tags under platforms none of it is included making ecwid useless unless you dont mind paying 39 a month

Hey! As long as you have under 5 products you can embed these for free. Any more you will have to upgrade.

Google Sites is not bad at all. Elfsight offers widgets for Google Sites. Including a cookie banner. Affordable too.

google does that when a new site visitor visits the first time. you dont have to do it unless your wanting to let them choose certain cookies, in which case its going to be tricky
