Takeaway: input > output. It's like stoicism 101. Gotta give input so good that we're happy about the work we put in, without lowering the bar for what we'll be happy with. Definitely hard to do but it's in our control.

this is fresh, another logical alternative to playing the social lottery. I always feel my effort of building the audience, tweeting everyday have a strong long-term benefit but it just would not cut the pie for me anytime soon and somehow I am wasting my time not doing what is most critical for my product as an indie maker. During the talk I think you had to undergerrate a bit on the suggested path but overall I think you did amazing job unraveling the idea. Highly recommend

So your idea is to switch posting on social media to cold calling potentially interested customers. That also has a 1000 --> 100 --> 10 --> 5 dynamic. Maybe the numbers are slightly better for cold calling. This really doesn't seem like much of an improvement.

I think the main idea he is trying to express is not about "which funnel is better"? He is trying to talk about "not using the funnel at all" by stop marketing to gather interest and then distill them into sales. Instead, try to find the smallest, most possible batch of people and jump right into the sale process. Resources-wise, this is less consuming but also harder to scale but as he said: "keep working on it until it stopped working" like when he run out of college and run out of discord to introduce buildspace.
