How to send Email using Salesforce Flow? | Send email from Salesforce Record Triggered Flow

In this video, I created a scenario to let you know how to send email using Salesforce Flow although we are using Record Triggered Flows the process is the same for the other flows as well.

Hi there, I am working on the similar scenario where I need to send an email notification when opportunity moves in 3 different stages. Contract to compliance ,compliance to integrating,integrating to implemented.can you please help me with this.Do I need to create email templates or I can go with action as you showed in the video? Hi Shubman, thanks for info. Email recipient options via the core action is a bit more challenging then the usual methods in workflow emails. How would you for example have multiple recipients that might be both hard coded (e.g. specific email) and/or a systematic one (e.g. current running user). It doesn't seem to like these type of emails in comma separated fashion. Does this require collection variables of some sort?

shubham, I am in a similar situation, what is the difference is apart from Opportunity owner some other owners who were related to the product in the opportunity also needs to get a notification. to add further for each product we have a field called Product owner where the user details will be there. i couldnt get that field when using the Opportunity. do i need to user two flows by creating one for product and other for opportunity so that i can use one in another to get a notifiation??

Hi! Useful video! But was wondering if we can actually attach file to this send email action? I understand that attachment can be done if i use the email templates but it is difficult to include fields from different objects e.g. from opportunity, account and user objects. So i am trying to avoid email templates and alerts :(

Hi, I am new to salesforce. I have 2 questions. I have a column in contact object called "Contact ID" as AutoNumber datatype. when I add a new contact for particular account name, I need to generate a Contact ID to the corresponding account name in auto number format(tc-co-001).If I add another contact for same account the auto number field should like this tc-co-002.but my question is the 001 in the auto number need to reinitiate for another different account name as ka-co-001. If I delete a contact has contact ID (ex.tc-co-002).Whenever I add new contact corresponding to above account, the new contact ID should like tc-co-003 not tc-co-002. .My requirement is do this with declarative manner using Flows

With the standard email action you can’t but there is an alternate solution for that i.e Send Richer Email with the ‘Send Better Email’ Flow Action unofficialsf.com/send-better-email-flow-action/

I got a question for you: How can i automate some fields in a record right whe i am creating this recor. If I can give a example : If I choose the school number one in the field school it will appear on the field monthly paymente the value: 500000 , but instead of i choose shool number one , i choose school number two in the field monthly payment will appear 300000. In the left side of the flow builder you will get resource Manager button you need to click on it and then edit the body variable.

Not everything you can do with flow there are tons of business logics which still need trigger.

I am creating a flow using contact object, and would like to send an email both to the Contact (Record.Email) and the Contact Owner (Record.Owner.Email). How can I have them both in the Email Addresses? I tried using a formula and used comma between the two and it was giving me error.

@@salesforcegeek I figured it out; a friend helped me. In the Email addresses (comma-separated) field, I had to create a New Resource>Text template, and pull the dynamic email addresses to the body, separated by a comma (just like in the Body field of the Email Core Action) :)

You are using some invalid id somewhere in your flow for eg id wants userid but your passing any object Id please cross check the ids you are passing

Hi Can you please help or give a direction with flow for that exercise : 1. While updating "Color" field(Pick-list) under Cars object, the following process will be executed: In case "Red" value is selected, "Category"(Pick-list) field will be filled automatically with the value - "Mini". 2.When Contact's object records are updated, "Number of Updates" field(fornula) will be updated as the following: The field should count the number of clicks on the "save" button in a specific contact record. Meaning, in every update, 1 will be added to the field's last value (every update: +1), For example: Number of Updates = 5 After saving the Contact's record, "Number of Updates" field value becomes 6 and so on.
