A really great video on technique. I like how you break down the power serve. I'm really great at spin serves, top spin lob serves, side spin serves and back spin. I need to learn how to perfect a power serve. Your video should help me with that. Nice job you are very organized in your teaching.

Love the videos. Keep em coming. I see some people doing shadow strokes at tournaments during a match in those early mornings when they don't have time to warm up. Kenadi clickbait pic, lol.

Connor this is brilliant! You have had this subject video before but this lesson has much better articulated analogies. My problem, I've been told, is rotation timing, resulting in all arm power rather than core energy. Does your off arm help with quicker rotation? Ghost Stroke images should show me what is actually happening, I've never knew how to fix it before . Fast and loose-- i like it!! Keep them coming please

Note: 1) Front foot remains in place, back foot toe remains in place but heel lifts up. 4:37 2) Butt of grip is about an inch inside the palm of hand (4:30 minute - Wrist Lag section). Also, perhaps a longer grip handle might increase kinetic chain impact.

Great new added graphics. Content is solid as always. Just a 3.5+ rec player but power is not my focus. Deep and accurate is what I focus on. My serve is odd, I almost hit the ball out of my hand, no toss. Power with that LUXX? Imagine hitting the GB Pro Power.

I’m new to the game but I’m an athlete that understands this motion. I noticed that if I get both feet down going forward into the shot I was able to really crank returns and put a lot of spin on the ball. Also can basically shoot the ball back at them hard w w top spin w o trying. What I have trouble doing is not going for winners on like every ball lol. Coming from racketball where you try to kill everything and push dinks are fun and effective, it doesn’t apply to this game because you have to hit the ball solid in pickle to control it.

Plz consider instructions on the face of the paddle & “direction” of the ball; the different “locations” where we want the ball to land.

I'm curious. I see you stand with your left foot forward. If you stand with your right foot forward, do you think you might achieve greater rotation and forward motion making it easier on your shoulder?

Where do you like to stand while serving? Closer to the sidelines or closer to the middle? Does it matter if you're serving from the odd or even side?

Generally you want to stand so that you can hit most 3rd shots with your forehand (at least for typical players).

Love your lessons Conner. But your screwball serve seems like you are tossing it slightly up, making it look like you are serving above the level of your waist. Given 2024 rule changes, what do you say please? Thanks!

I’ve been playing for about 9mo and as someone who played a lot of tennis in my past, I find the game incredibly easy due to the touch and feel that I’ve already developed. PB also has a limited amount of shots and the much smaller court compared to tennis, so it’s not too complicated a game for me. Having said that, while my serve is decent with a slight corkscrew spin, I find myself with a bit of the yips if I try a standard topspin serve to get a bit more power…I’ll hit it more into the net or long than I should. After tossing the ball, do you feel like you’re hitting it immediately or letting it drop slightly lower before contact? Hitting it when a tad lower will straighten the ball more than when it’s higher due to the angles, but that small difference in timing is making me more prone for errors during matches..
