Thanks for your lovely comment, a late friend of our family would use a screw driver. A man I learnt a lot from... he used to say "There's more than one way to skin a cat"

Good video, my tip is when pouring from a 5 gallon drum turn it backwards and you’ll have no spillage or splashing. I learned the hard way lol, got soaked in diesel more times than I care to remember.

I wish that I had been somewhat mechanically minded when I was younger and at home on the farm - I would have tackled these jobs. Another mighty video, keep up the great work

Great tutorial for the Case 4230. Sound advice for most any machinery too. Great shot looking down from the straight pipe in the air filter section.

Great vid👍 Was just going to service mine next week or so..!, mines a 98 with a q720 loader, almost identical, have it less than a year and it’s been great. Looking forward to the vid on the back end oil as well...👍

Would you recommend buying one as hear some horror stories of the 4230 but seem good tractors?
@richardkerin13772 жыл бұрын
@@Dan-HongTong Mines going great so far, have it a year and a half. Hot in the summer and noisy but has been 100% reliable. There are definitely a few lemons out there like anything. Good servicing and the correct oil in the back end and she’s happy as it’s a simple machine. There a non turbo too so not as prone to issues as the 4240. I would recommend yes 👍

Hi Declan Found this really useful, so thanks. You mentioned at the end about filming the transmission oil/oil filter side of things etc Is that on the horizon at all?
@alancampbell10083 жыл бұрын
Great video. Just about to do my 4230, would be interested in seeing you do the hydraulic system. How easy is it to get access under the bonnet? I need to replace the fan belt on mine and it looks like a bugger of a job with very little access.
@GeigerFarm3 жыл бұрын
Not sure I like the fuel filter position ;). I like to use semi-synthetic for the hydraulic oil, until you break a line and lose a lot of fluid! It seems the synthetic helps with shifts and reduces hydraulic issues. Thanks.

Does the oil in the biogas box heat up for you during hard work and then slowly raises the lift

Hi, how wide are the front fender on your tractor? I have same tractor as you, but i dont have front fenders. I was thinking of instal universal model front fenders, but i dont know know if wide ones would be good?

What do you mean by"releasing the water" from the fuel filters? Is that normal?
@noelcxl20373 жыл бұрын
Yes it’s standard practice on all tractors, diggers etc. Moisture from the tank collects in the bottom of the filters usually so open the tap to release it. Some machines will have a tap on the bottom of the tank if not on the filters
