Excellent video as always out of all the videos I've seen you did the best job of explaining it but what is a J motor ? Is it the same as a KT 100 ?

Hello, great video btw! I learned a ton from this! Any idea why I’d be having issues getting fuel suction? If I cover up the air intake it’ll suck up fuel and start up and then I have to rev the engine super hard for it to warm up and stay running, I am trying to get it to turn over and run on its own though, but for some reason it does look like the carb is unable to suck fuel up on its own while starting for some reason. I have a rebuild kit on the way, but was curious if you have any thoughts.

yeah most likely the carb kit and carb needs a service. do that first and get back to me....

Good day. What settings would be best for vortex VA/B 100cc. Any feedback or ideas would be highly appreciated

Hey Jacob, maybe try the heavy duty springs on the Jet Needles. maybe they are vibrating loose while you are drving?

Hi Derek, are the settings similar when running the walbro on a 100s? Many thanks

Hi, with the 100 S engine, we normally used 2.0 LSJ and 0.125 HSJ. if you run much more on the HSJ it seems to four stroke. Other wise the safe option is 1.5LSJ and 0.25 HSJ

it always comes in the kit and not sure where it goes, even my dad doesnt know where lol, its like a little clip, similar to a gudgen pin clip but a lot smaller, do you know what it is for? thanks

Hey Flynn. Great question. I didn’t use them either. I think it is for the screen that is on the half moon 🌝 cover on the diaphragm side of the carb (just above the high speed needle discharge orifice)

Hi. What if i had to make spring harder? To lean at midrange? Can i stretch it? Thank you.

Metal has a memory so if you stretch it it will also uncoil but after awhile it will try to return to it's original shape and pressure or until it gets fatigued. Obviously the best way would be to get a longer spring and cut it accordingly but people do it all the time.

I thought popoff pressure should be 15 to 18 PSI with a reset pressure of 10 or above if below 8 it may leak gas past the needle & seat, by lowering it will cause the engine to run richer I believe. Do you use exact popoff pressure for every Carb or do you use that as a general rule of thumb?
