how to set chiming for Seiko 30 days wall clock movement

This is an interesting addition to my Seiko collection.
Seiko 30 Day Winding Wall Clock Striking Day-Date Calendar This is a 1960 to 1970 The sticker on the back is marked Seiko 30 Day Winding Wall Clock Striking Day-Date Calendar and 4PC-451
The clock has a pendulum which can be adjusted the timing slow or fast and The dates are easily set by turning the date wheels.
One more interesting feature is the power indicator windows. There are two circles next to the winding arbors. They will show red when it is time to wind and will show blue when full wind.

I just picked up a Montgomery Wards pendulum clock with a similar Seikosha movement. Pardon my ignorance, but what does the blue flag signal on the movement? I assume the red flag indicates it's time to rewind. Thank you!

Hi, I have just got one of these. Is there a way to stop the chimes? I know there is no switch but I believe there is a small reversible mod that can be done.

hi congratulations. i also not find any stop, simple & best way to stop chimes is not to wind chime key

@@jaksclockscollection2705 I read that it doesn't do the clock any good because the two movements need to work together. Is yours ok doing that?

I have the opposite problem, my chimes don’t work. Maybe that’s a blessing, this Seiko has a beautiful tick rock sound and has the aesthetics to match. The label on the back f mine is 4PC-047-2.

@@locouk I found if I didn't wind the chime side they don't chime! They are full on!

@@jar303 I think I’ll leave mine, the chime spring is 90% wound up.. I’ll let sleeping dogs lye so to speak lol. Thanks for getting back.
