Why are the amps in front of the speakers? Also that laptop is a weak link in that system, maybe consider a high end streamer rather

Everything's high premium( I noticed the lack of $$$ talk..) and then as a source: a laptop(..). Even a piece of Schitt dac(99$)would make big difference! Hopefully y'all gonna upgrade soon..

I believe they're using the dac in the preamp. But yes a computer as a source is just complete shit even if not using its dac

Looking at the specs of the Michi P5 it includes its own DAC.

Michi amps are actually good value for what they are. The cables on the other hand may be very questionable.

If they play music the video will get a copyright strike. Also what good is them showing off this incredible sound system if its going to be compressed and played in 1080P at best through KZfaq on someones iPhone

You can't gauge a system through another system or headphones, If you listen to a recording of a 15" played back through a 4" it will sound like a 4", "Sound demos" are a wast of time. I do think that the system probably wouldn't sound it's best in that room tho considering the entire front wall is glass.

$1,000 8 gauge power cable and yet it still has to be connected to an outlet that uses standard romex 12 guage through out the house and from the electric box. Just food for thought.

When I got into this hobby it reeked of snake oil. So, I dove into science articles published by the Audio engineering society and... "elas" my suspicion was correct. Particularly revealing regarding several aspects of audio reproduction are the results of Blind\double blind and ABX tests. Such things as cables, high resolution formats, expensive gear Vs very, very entry level ones, analog Vs digital sources are all dimistifyed. What I take of this to my own life? I save a lot of money to do a lot of other pleasurable things while not compromising one bit (hehe) the quality of my music listening hobby, but at a very, very small fraction of this predatory prices. But, hey... If someone believes this stuff and can and are willing to spend this kind of money it's their right. Whatever makes someone happy is what counts..

Hehe yeah, after a certain amount of money you get very little gains if any really. Boys will be boys and we can't live without new gadgets no matter what price bracket we are in.

All perfect, but the Macbook as your streamer? Don't do that, just don't. There are plenty of great audiophile options to feed your preamp. Honestly, you put so much effort in getting proper power for your setup... and then you are using a standard computer (very noisy) with the cheapest power supply (super noisy) in the chain.

powercables .... go check you wall cables and realize that the last few feet of cable will not do anything ... its science, not magic. PS cables are NEVER directional ... not magic (again)... PS2 M8 is overkill for these speakers. S5 is better suited for these.
