How To Set Up Nest Cam Battery (Outdoor or Indoor)

In this video we teach you how to install the Nest Cam Battery powered. The Nest Cam Battery Powered is a battery powered wifi video camera that allows you to remotely view footage from the camera on your phone.
The Nest Cam Battery was released in the summer of 2021 and works on the Google Home App. The Nest Cam Battery is battery powered but also gives you the option to plug it in permanently with the provided power cable. However the device can function with just the battery and be recharged as needed by plugging it in with the provided battery cable.
The New Nest Cam battery is both indoor and outdoor compatible and made so that it can be placed permanently outside. The Nest Camera comes with a magnetic mount that can be permanently installed and the view angle adjusted to allow you to see the live view of the camera.
To Set Up The Nest Camera:
1. Download and install the Google Home app if you have not already done so and set up an account on the the Google Home app and login.
2. Plug in your Nest Cam Battery with the provided Google Nest charging cable.
3. Click on the + symbol in the upper right hand corner of the Google Nest app.
4. Select add a Google Nest Device and then follow the instructions to set up your Google Nest Cam Battery Powered.

Excited video...I was wondering if I lost the qr code what to do. You answered a small code near the port you plug the cable to the camera. Now I can buy used cameras and activate them..thanks

I just added 3 new indoor nest cams to nest in minutes and I have spent the best part of last night and today trying to add one of two new nest cams battery powered to the google home app - resetting, scanning qr code, plugging and unplugging only to keep getting the try and bring device closer to cam which cannot get any closer. It is not the app I just reset a google mini speaker and added that - I am sick of it - why does google put customers paying 329 bucks through this shit

because google are Nazis. I had to reset my apple apps password, then i had to down load google home to set up nest google cam. Then it told me i cannot down load google home because my i phone is not modern enough..PHUCKEM

hi dear quick question. i just charge the battery, but it doesn't reset. it was at 8% 2 days ago and it's showing 7%. how can i reset it?

Ok so i have tried to connect this with my iphone and it says “ couldnt find an assisting nest device”. So i got my samsung tablet out and again the same problem. I am using the same network all around so whats wrong??? Please help!!

It seems really awkward to have to charge an outdoor camera, especially when it's high up or in the Winter (Canada).. I was hoping to see an example of this in the video.

Doesn’t work on iPhone, it doesn’t give the option to add a Nest cam. Instead it says to configure it in the Nest app. Once the google home app redirects me to the Nest App I scan the QR code and the Nest app tells me to configure this camera in Google Home… and so on.

Same thing happening with me. I am unable to add it to my Nest app. It redirects me to Google Home after scanning the QR code. Anyone find a fix for this yet?

@@michaelrodriquez6511 same. And google home app is 2.44.105. Once I updated google home app I was able to add the cam as a new device in google home (not nest) as it offered me the option to scan the QR code when adding new device like shown in the video

Mine worked once. After changing the router this and using the same router settings this time the Home software setup doesn't have a setting for wifi. Waste of time. It's a brick.

Google does not support the new cams on the nest app , you will only be able to install and use it on the google home app

There's a after market threaded safety cable, if you do not use the magnetic mount the cam thinks it was stolen

I found this new Nest camera to be a total POS. Recently bought the 33 ft power cable so maybe this will actually make it useful, but the battery part is absolutely horrific.

I like the older nest outdoor cams better,I have eight never had a problem, these new ones look like they are a pain to setup, and you have to buy the outdoor cord separately thats a deal breaker

@@Robert-ug5hx I find the older Nest Cams work better. With the new Nest Cams you can walk directly in front of it and snatch it and it won't even see you.

It Looks like I also are going to have to buy the 10m outdoor cable, as I'm having trouble with this I paid £174 and then you find out you need more stuff to compenstate it to work properly It's a joke really " NEST "
