Good video. I don’t think I need a mixer since my DJ controller has XLR balanced outputs. I think that should work.

iphone are really finiky when it comes to connecting to other non-apple equipment . test with another non apple phone or it just a bad 3.5mm to xlr adapter but it should work I have done but with my android and make sure you select line level on the speaker input and like he said gradually increase the volume .

@DJKevinTV1 Thanks for your great presentation. I just bought this box, and found it has a pretty big hiss when power on, even with no any cable plugged and zero gain/volume. It sounds like a white noise of an old radio, neither humming nor buzzing but is audible in as far as 10+ feet. Similar to that in this video (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nruPraZ0qd3Wc2w.html 50"~1'20"). Do you think that's normal or defective? Thanks.

Hissing or loud noise can due to the noise from the outlet. If the outlet is not grounded correctly then that creates noise from the amplifier. Try buying a power conditioner from Ferman. That is a must when plugging professional equipment in.

Hi! I'd also like to add that you might want to put distance between the mixer's power supply cord (assuming you are using a mixer), and the actual mixer. Probably won't completely eliminate the hissing sound completely, but will greatly reduce it. Hope this helps.
