What pound braid would you guys recommend for fishing hard bodies and bigger soft plastics for big flathead, medium sized jewies and other bigger fish. ive got a strickeforce which i think would be a little bit bigger than this one brandon has

hes using a HRF PE which is very similar to the strikeforce, id go 15 or 20lb braid

Ugh... This is the wrong way to configure a magnetic braking BC reel. Daiwa should know better! This reel got the zero adjuster tension knob! This mean you don't touch it out of the box! All you do is use the brake dial and that's it! Most lures, you can just set to brake 10 or 50 percent and it will not backlash with no thumbing I most lures. If you doubt this, try it! Start with 14 brakes and lower a notch every cast! Stop teaching legacy tuning methods made for centrifugal braking reels!

This is Australia mate we don’t use dcs we adjust the tension knob so you don’t get backlash

And what if your zero adjustment knob is set wrong from the manufacturer? Mine was.
