Really useful. Searched for ages on how to get the deck tracker working with obs while streaming. Not many videos out I could find which didn't have some compromise to get it working, either flickering mouse due to layered windows etc. This way with the separate player window which you can point obs to seems like the best solution. Thanks for the video.

One Thing I Have Noticed Since Making This Video Is That OBS Seems To Forget The "Player" Window Settings. So You May End Up Having To Repeat The Setup Every Now And Then.

Hi - could you post your EXACT OBS settings, please? I am using the latest version of OBS to record the game window (i.e. Heartrhstone, which works fine as such). In order to record the overlay from HDT, I need to use "record overlapping windows", which results in my mouse starting to blink and randonly disappear.... if I disable the overlapping windows, it records game and mouse just fine - but the the HDT does not show up... in your recording, everything seems to working fine.... so what's the secret??

+pikewerfer I Explain My Setup At ~11:45-15:30 And Show The Settings Needed For Both HDT And OBS. The Separate "Player" Window Must Be Be On Top When You Start Recording And There Is A "Topmost" Option In HDT To Help Insure That.

This just isn't working at all for me. There already is a "log.config" file and it contains what was written. However, the program isn't interacting with the game at all. It doesn't show any cards on the side when I start a game. I can't import any decks from the game, and yes I have followed the instructions. When I click on IMPORT FROM CONSTRUCTED (BETA) it just shows the pop up help window again. It does not notify me when my turn is starting. I would really appreciate any help.

+Wicke Danneh. The Only Suggestion I Can Make For Problems Like This Is To Uninstall/Delete Both Programs And Delete Any Let Files Then Reinstall Everything And Try Again.

david picka This Is Usually Caused By The Deck Not Being Made Or Selected In Hearthstone Deck Tracker.

how do you turn off the numbers under the opponents cards? the numbers in the opponents hand and the coin icon and m icon?

I Know "Options -> Overlay -> General -> Hide card-age" Hides the numbers Under The Opponents Hand, You Will Have To Play With The Other Options To See If They Do What You Want.

I was wondering if you know how to get the deck tracker to show golden cards? For some reason I can't seem to figure it out - for example, your mage deck had some golden cards in it but the deck tracker doesn't show them as golden which is what I'm trying to get the deck tracker to do. If anybody knows how, please reply and let me know - I'd appreciate it =)

nacchi13 I Think By Default Hearthstone Deck Tracker Does't Track Gold Vs. Non-Gold Cards. However This Plugin Does (At Least To Some Extent): github.com/ko-vasilev/Hearthstone-Collection-Tracker. I Haven't Had Any Luck Trying To Installing Plugins, Though.

You are correct on this - I contacted the dev who created the tracker and he let me know that there's currently no way to show golden cards in the tracker but that it will still work properly if you just put in the normal versions of the card in the tracker even if you play with golden cards =)

I did everything and it still doesnt "magically" work when I load hearthstone. are there any vids that show what you need to do with the folder when you download it? Its very frustrating following instructions and still nothing.

+Jay Byrd You Can Extract The Folder Anywhere, But I Would Recommend "C:\Program Files\", Then Run "Hearthstone Deck Tracker.exe" In That Folder. That Should At Least Get You Started.

Hello, All seems to work fine but when i start OBS, HDT and HS, i can see the "player" layer when i look at a preview of stream (i did all step u do) but when i play game this "player" layer seems to disapear. I mean it goes behind the hearthstone windows. How can i fix it? I put player layer in first position in OBS but still dont work.

+Lalen Tryhard Try Using A Hotkey To Start Recording/Streaming Because The Player Window Has To BE On Top At The Beginning. I Run Hearthstone At Fulllscreen And The Player Window Never Goes Behind For Me.

A lot has changed since recording this video. In the options for Hearthstone Deck Tracker click Streaming -> Show Capturable Overlay Window. In OBS Setup a Window Capture With Color Key Setup (or Just A Monitor Capture).

Giuseppe Tamalio You have to pick the deck by selecting it and then click the USE button next to it. It's grey and sometimes people miss it. I hope this helped you and good luck.

+melle huijsman My Rough Guess Would Be That You Have File Extensions Hidden So When You Trying To Make "log.config" It Automatically Changing It To "log.config.txt" And Then Hiding the ".txt" Part From You. As For A Zip File Not Opening, My Guess Would Be That Either It Was A Corrupted Download And Needs To Be Re Downloaded Or You Don't Have A Zip File Manager Installed. These Type Of Problems Indicate To Me That You May Want To Seek Out Someone Local To Help You.

+Im Nibor As Far As I Know There Is No Way, However There Is A Button In Hearthstone Deck Tracker To Launch Hearthstone. I Would Recommend For Lazy People To Simply Set Them Both To Autostart When Your Computer Boots Up And Just Never Close Them.

Every F***ING time I click on "New, Class, constructed and then Import from game" I get the same freakin Import message that I need to follow. Did it 7 times close the game, re-do it. Closed both DT and HS nothing is working.

Yeah, this does absolutely nothing for me. The video is helpful though. The website says nothing at all about how to setup or even use this software. It's pathetic. Anyway, even after following the instructions here, all I get is a small pop up that says "ranked mode detected"and literally nothing else. The application does not collect any data and nothing happens when I play. The program window can tell Hearthstone is running, but it has no idea I'm actually playing a game.

+Rydo No, it was. I was actually using Hearthstone tracker, not Hearthstone Deck Tracker, which, despite being a different program sounds and even looks exactly the same. Now I've got the right program running, I've got the overlay working, but the program window itself isn't doing anything. There are no stats and it isn't tracking my gameplay. Also, whenever I try to import a deck, it imports the wrong cards.

not required no, but it may help. especially if you like to play HS in full screen. there's no way to get the deck tracker to scale to the same size as the actual deck in the collection screen either, so it may help visibility too.
