Tyvm every time I clean out my cat fountain I have to watch this and it helps. Even tho some of the parts in my edition are different, it still works. Without the video, I’m clueless as to which part goes where so ty!

Do you just put the water in the container with the hole for the pump open? No cover ? It seems odd, that it would have water go into electric pump!

You see CJS, the WATER pump needs to have the WATER inside it so that it can pump the WATER. That's its job...

mine has been flashing red and not turning on, I've had it for a year but after the last time I turned it off, it's only flashing red and not doing what it's supposed to do. any tips on how to fix it?

The residue of the filter's insides needs to be rinsed but for how long, please? Don't want to let kitty drink the charcoal, etc dust. TIA

You need to replace the filters with new ones approximately every month. You can buy more from eBay cheaply, just search cat flower fountain filters and select the ones that look the same as your existing model. Also, mine came with instructions that say: "Cleaning the pump is essential to the longevity of the fountain. Clean the pump every two weeks." To clean the pump you must do the following: 1. Pull the pump off the bottom of the base (you might need to pull hard if it has suction cup feet holding it down. 2. With your hands, pull off the plastic end with the holes. 3. Next pull off the round plastic cover that is inside, exposing the little fan (the impeller). 4. Pull out the impeller (I found it easiest to use tweezers with my clumsy hands). Then just clean the parts with soap and warm water before putting them back in reverse order. SUPER easy and takes less than 2 minutes from start to finish. Naturally, disconnect the power before cleaning the pump. 👍🌟
