🧑‍💻 If you need cables, consider using this affiliate link to support the channel (the cost to you is the same): amzn.to/37u9y2A ❓ Frequent questions: (1) You can connect any number of monitors using these steps, depending on how many monitors your graphics card supports. As an example, the NVIDIA RTX 3080 supports up to 4 monitors simultaneously. (2) For projecting to a laptop screen (5:42), if you notice sluggish performance, try using a hardwired connection via ethernet. (3) To use an iPad or Android tablet as your second monitor, you can try Spacedesk: www.spacedesk.net

Kevin, the best setup I came up with is an ultra wide monitor (34 inch) along with a portrait mode monitor (24 inch) to read long articles. This set up is perfect for a workstation and the size of monitors are bare minimum.

I went through this ordeal recently, but on Linux. The key point here is the **docking station / dongle** with 2x monitor outputs and with **driver support** for the video chip. And because the majority of the chip manufacturers are supporting Windows and Mac only, you got hit and miss situation on Linux. But there is one awesome company that offers Linux drivers: DisplayLink. I love these guys, I love the dock I bought and won't look into any other product without DisplayLink inside. I only wish they are more vigilant with the latest kernel support, but no complains here! I'm typing this message with 2x monitors on my laptop :D

I have 3 ASUS VG248 24” 144htz gaming Monitors arranged side by side with a Mount-It! Triple Monitor Mount | Desk Stand with USB and Audio Ports | 3 Counter-Balanced Gas Spring Height Adjustable Arms for three 24 27 30 32 Inch VESA Screens. I have had this setup for 4 years and have been very happy with it. With Windows 10 or 11 it can easily be configured with a couple of minor settings changes, to act as one continuous screen 13” high but 59” across when they are set in a semicircular arrangement, for a true surround effect display. I have gamed with it set up in this fashion, and frankly, I found it a bit disorienting and on occasion cause slight nausea. I typically use each monitor to display something different. The two outer monitors display the Web browser on the left and my email client on the right monitor. While using the center monitor for file viewing or watching movies. I will eventually go to newer monitors with a smaller screen bezel, or perhaps one of the new extra-large curved monitors. After using this setup for 4 years I cannot imagine going back to a single monitor even a very large one.

While your level of technology knowledge may be high, many people are not aware of the differences between HDMI, USB-C/Thunderbolt, USB-A, DisplayPort, VGA, and DVI. Kevin is showing people how to identify the ports on their computers and monitors, and demonstrating how to find the cables that they need. This is important information when connecting more than one monitor to a PC, which is what this video is about.

I've been running twin monitor desktop computers now for many years. Even as far back in the days of the old CRT monitors. I been using 2 or more monitors on my desktop computers for so long now that I simply can't stand using a single monitor computer now.

Hey Kevin, I have two identical monitors but one has the best looking resolution. I have two LG monitors. They are 144hz, 1080p, IPS and G-sync. Both are connected with a displayport. All the software and monitor settings are the same. But one looks beautiful and the second monitor looks like a 1999 desk. Like I said before, all the software and cables are setup the same.
