How to Setup EVE-NG and SupperPutty

SuperPuTTY is a Graphical User Interface (GUI)-based Windows application that is mainly employed for tab management for PuTTY SSH Client. PuTTY, the open-source terminal emulator is a competent program on its own, but it does lack a tabbed interface. Hence, Superputty does not only execute basic PuTTY commands but also fills the gaps by offering much-needed window management

thanks a tonne, it worked! summary: - after installing eve-ng ova on wmware workstatoin, install "Windows Client Side" of eve-ng - download superputty and unpack it into a directory - copy all superputty files (exe, dll...etc.) to C:\Program Files\EVE-NG - rename superputty.exe to putty.exe DONE.

Its there an option for the name of the router be display on the tab of superputty? when i open a session the opened tab show the ip of the server. I previously use SecureCRT and when i open the session, the tab show the name of the router.

Hi mate sorry for replying late are you still experiencing this issue? There is a setting you can change to display the Routers's name. Select Tools > Select GUI > then under Tab Text setting select "Dynamic" rather static. I hope that will solve the issue.

I am using EVE-NG through VMware so don't have EVE-NG folder in C:\Program files. Please help

EVE-NG over Vmware : i'm using firefox incognito window , choose application once you trying open session to superputty, in superputty settings : TOOLS -> Options - GUI -> TAB TEXT : Dynamic + // superputty options / advanced enable only allow single instance of Superputtty to run. That works for me.

Once you have installed the EVE and its running then follow the instruction in video to setup SupperPutty. Or you can install the following application . kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qNx-opdeldjShac.html

Hi , Thank you for the reply. It’s working now. After troubleshooting I found that super putty application should be open at the backend before accessing the first device. If the application is closed and If I try to access the device then I am getting the error of ‘process window not found ’ Not sure if it’s the same case for everyone.

Open supper putty select tools -> Options -> Select Advanced tab [There make sure this check box is selected [ "Only allow single instance of SupterPutty to rurn" ]
