Make it a sleeve that can attach to ANY backpack, change to USB-C and you'll have a winner. This would be quite useful in many situations, yet you try to cater to niche business traveller market? How many students would use this if it were a $30-50CAD add-on for their existing backpack? I'd love this for my 80l backcountry pack.

The reason why they can't do that is because "Jacquard" is a metallic fiber that is woven into a section of the backpack. That is what allows gestures.

I can see the idea, but this will only be useful in a small handful of situations. But this is only a first use case for Jacquard. Let's see how it gets in the future.

🤔 So the tag while in its pocket on the strap... What's keeping it from falling out? Does the strap (backpack) also needs charging? How are the threads interface with the tag?

The tag appears to be sitting in a cradle and should power the thread.
