How to Sew a Corner. Sewing Mitered Corners

In this video I show how to sew a corner on jacket. The video is from series "Sewing Mitered Corners". This video will be useful for sewing a skirt vent also. This tutorial has pro way to hem a vent. This tutorial you can use to sew mitered corners on other garments.

Somebody who really knows their art form. This is an ongoing issue with re-grille on speaker cabinet frames (guitar amps) on all 4 corners where the stress is. Although, obviously grille cloth isn't solid, but that's not the point. I've never seen a method like this, as involved as this is, which is far superior.

Do you have a video on how to bind an edge with double side binding and mitered corners? I don’t think I’m making sense…I want to add a border around a linen table runner by “binding” the edges and mitering the corners (I don’t want to add a backing)

Beautiful but i deffo would change that motor from a clutch motor to s servo motor, the servo motors are silent, use way less electricity and you can control the speed too

Wish there was commentary explaining. It is easy to watch someone do something, it makes more sense when it’s explained. At least that is how I learn… Nice work though

@@sewway You miss my point. I am not saying that you make it look too easy, I was saying I can watch people do stuff all day, that doesn’t make it a lesson. The difference between a talent show and a tutorial is the transfer of knowledge. To use your analogy: A gymnast doesn’t understand a new stunt by simply observing those in the gym who can do it. It will help perfect a technique by watching those who have mastered it, but the dots need to be connected before trying it. You demonstrating the skill without other guidance isn’t teaching (in my opinion). I know how to sew, I know how to do corners. I could have replicated this method with instructions, and practiced from there. “How to” videos with verbal or written steps providing direction get more subscriptions than the “Watch this” style that will be skipped over because people don’t want to have to replay multiple times to break it down themselves. Just some feedback if you’re interested in reaching a wider audience.✌️
