Follow my step-by-step video on how to make your own Link Hat. I start by going over the materials you will need and jump right in to making your own pattern!
You can sew this item on a sewing machine or by hand. The hat comes out to be about 30inches long and fit head sizes from 20in-24in.

I crochet elf hats and was given a sewing machine fot Xmas...the joy of finding this video is real! Im a newbie sewer...can I ask please, wouldany material work...does it have to be fleece?

That’s so exciting! I love working with fleece because you don’t have to worry about it fraying and it has stretch to it, which is nice for hats. Cotton and flannel would be cheaper but they won’t have stretch and would fray so you would have to finish your edges. When looking for new fabrics to try I would just see what feels nice and if it has a little stretch.

Used this pattern to make a hat that is half purple and half black. My son wanted it to look like Jevils jester hat. Jevil is a character from Deltarune.
