This large, zipped pouch is made with two squares from our Daisy Lane Chrysanthemum fabric panel with a red cotton lining and red piping, and is stabilised with Vileselene H640. You can of course make it with any fabric you like!
It’s simple and fun to sew and would make a perfect gift!
Finished size:
13” x 10” x 2.5” [33cm x 25cm x 6cm]
Use 1/2" [1cm] seam allowance
Materials:
14” [36cm] square bottom fabric
2 pieces of top fabric each measuring 14” x 5” [36cm x 13cm]
30” of pre made 0.8” [3mm] piping cord
14” x 24” [36cm x 61cm] lining fabric
Four pieces of lining fabric each measuring approx. 3” x 2” [8cm x 5cm] for the zip tabs
14” x 24” [36cm x 61cm] H640
11” [28cm] ribbon

Another adorable creation from you. I have to tell you that 7 years ago you were my inspiration to start sewing bags after I watched your video on a tote bag. I had been sewing clothing for many, many years but never purses and needed a new challenge after retirement. Now I've infected my daughter with the sewing and love of fabric bug and our little side business has grown considerably. We also get to spend many hours of quality time together which is the best part. . Next month we will be participating in our third craft fair and this one is huge!!! So thank you for sharing your knowledge and love of creativity to all of us

I wish you lived closer, I could use all those zipper ends. I like to sew lap quilts. Those zipper ends give disabled individuals different textures to touch.

When you start adding the liner is it added wrong sides together with the top or right sides together? Since you’re using red on both sides I can’t really tell thank you.
