These videos are very well done! I am a latin dancer and have found it really difficult to find tutorials of techniques for non-stretch fabrics (esp beyond the basics like using a ballpoint needle etc). I really appreciated the detail in this and how easily it can be applied to making any dance costume. I am about to start drafting/sewing dance costumes designed by a friend and this was great reassurance prior to starting! Great work!

One technique that will make rhinestone application faster is putting your glue in a plastic syringe to put the dollop directly on the costume and using a rhinestone picker to pick up and place the rhinestones. A rhinestone tray is also great to keep the rhinestones facing the right way. I used to do the te unique you do here and with this other approach I can put rhinestones on two times faster at least. Hope it helps save you some time!

For your applique work it would save you time if you use heat and bond iron on and then stitch the color that matches the applique. I use it for costuming.

I think this costume is awesome! but I'm not sure it helped me get better at sewing with stretch fabrics. I would love to know how to fix the issues with my sewing machine when I try to sew stretchy fabrics eg skipped stitches and all that nastiness. Maybe you could talk about all those difficulties in another tutorial!

Funny enough, I found stretch fabrics "easy" to sew with cause it hid some imperfections on fit. Obviously it's not completely true for all. This is a great tutorial! What serger do you have? Ps. You're such a natural on camera!
