Dear Sewing Friends, in this video I would love to share with You how to sew a really NEAT and simple POCKET in any seam! Use this method for sewing a pocket in a dress, a skirt, pants or on a jacket! I will guide you step-by-step through drafting and sewing and I hope that this will be useful in your future sewing!

I LOVE pockets, but unfortunately most of my soft pants and tights DONT have pockets. But anytime I'm making pants I use your videos to help me put pockets, thanks Alisa

Shanaaz, hello there! Yes... with soft pants/tights - the pockets are easy seen through... which is why I assume a lot of them don't have them.

I make 12C gowns with pockets in the side seams. I sew the pockets to the gown first and then stitch from wrist to ankle going around the pocket.

I vary between hand and spread hand when drafting pockets. I use a straight edge on the fabric and draft from there.

Yep, I also used to use my phone as a guide for the size of the pattern, but I have noticed due to the weight of the phone I rarely put it in my pockets - it is like logging a brick around, lol, even though my phone is not the newest.

KZfaq does that sometimes what you might want to do is turn off the notification bell get out of the app go back into the app and turn the notification bell back on

Hi Alisa, o loved your frilled necjlines. I am planning similar to my daugter. As O pbserved in your videos, yiu have ywo sewing machines know? Which are they? How many built in stitches you jave on each machine respectively? Ii just gond of built in stitches. Thatz why , I asked.😊
