How to sew a quilted gift bag by Debbie Shore

These cute, quilted gift bags are perfect for any occasion, or they would make ideal storage pouches too!
Material used: Dogs in Jumpers and Christmas Jumpers from www.debbieshoresewing.com
Materials for both bags:
59” x 22” [150cm x 50cm] of each of two fabrics
59” x 22” fusible fleece [H640]
3" [7.5cm] circle template for the handle
10.5" [26cm] circle template for the large bag
7.5" [19cm] circle template for the small bag [these circles could be slightly smaller]]
Cut for the large bag:
Two outer and two lining pieces each measuring 12” x 14” [30cm x 36cm]
Fuse fleece to the wrong sides of the outer pieces
36” x 2” [92cm x 5cm] fabric for bias binding
Cut for the small bag:
Two outer and two lining pieces each measuring 9” x 11” [23cm x 28cm]
Fuse fleece to the wrong sides of the outer pieces
28” x 2” [71cm x 5cm] fabric for bias binding

Lovely bag, I'll give it a try but the circle handle gives me a bit of hesitation. Bet you've heard the old saying about teaching old dogs new tricks, well this vintage lady isn't afraid of trying new tricks! Thank you for teaching me new sewing tricks!

I love it! I’ve been planning to make a lunch bag in this shape but I didn’t consider quilting the outside. I think I’m going to make that change. Thanks for sharing. 😊
