MATERIALS Janome Sewing Machine 50 wt thread top and bobbin rotary cutter, mat and ruler needle and thread; clips and pins cardboard cutting scissors Elmers glue or Roxannes Glue Baste-it two cardboard pieces cut to 9-1/2" x 13" inches four fat quarters cut two (2) 14" x 21" (one top, one lining) cut two (2) 9" x 14" (pockets) cut one (1) 6" x 14" (smaller pocket) INSTRUCTIONS At one 14" edge of each of the three pockets, fold 1/4" toward the wrong side, twice; press. Stitch close to the folded edge on the wrong side of the fabric Layer your pieces; begin by placing your top right side up. Align 9" x 14", then 6" x 14" pockets (raw edge) on the 14" left side of top On opposite side of top, align 9" x 14" pocket (raw edge) on the 14" right side of top Place the lining, right side down, even with all edges. Pin all pieces together. Sew 3 sides together using 1/2" seam, leaving one 14" side open. Press seams open. Trim seam allowances at corners. Turn right sides out, using blunt object to push corners out. Insert one cardboard piece (trim from original size, if necessary for ease of fit) sliding all the way to the sewn edge. Stitch the center of top/lining, avoiding cardboard insert. Insert second cardboard piece (again, trim if necessary for ease of fit). Place glue on 14" edge of cardboard; fold inside edge over, allowing glue to hold it in place. Turn outside edge in, and stitch opening closed. ENJOY Add your small travel tools - and place at the bottom of your travel bag. ALTERNATE SIZING If you want to make this any other size, bigger or smaller, adjust sizes accordingly. Add 2" in length and 1" in height to your desired size - adjusting pocket sizes as well. ALTERNATE TOPS A. Piece top, using quilt as you go QAYG technique, or create pieced top, layer with batting and an additional backing; quilt as desired. Then continue with assembly noted above. This alternate will require one additional 14" x 21" back of QAYG or quilted top. B. EPP your top; trim to size.

Could you add the measurements for this project?

Could you use a stiff interfacing in it to make it more rigid instead of the cardboard.
