I think the main benefit of this is the embedded aspect. I once took an online course on threejs where the teacher had the video and additional resources and links on the same page for the users to view. This was a convenient setup for when the lecturer is talking about the resources and what they are/do because you dont have to switch windows or tabs and lose sight of the video to peruse the referenced content and follow along. However, the course didnt provide the slides that the lecturer was using and it would have been convenient to have those on the same page as well for the users to follow along, skip back or ahead while the video is still playing and visible. Of course you can place multiple windows, one containing the slides, another the video etc but its less convenient imo. So I think the idea basically centers around not having to leave the app to view the content...ie the embedded aspect. There is actually a presentation streamlit component I saw someone post in the forums where you can create embedded presentations using markdown and you can control the presentations via streamlit or have the presentation effect the app somehow. I honestly dont know what the use cases or need for it would be except maybe for tutorials?
