I definitely prefer the one angle. I think it's because I'm trying to compare technique or see if the position we played a part in is the same

Most guitar players probably prefer one angle for that reason. For non-guitar players it’s better to switch angles around to keep their attention. All depends on your audience

Cool video. But how do you get the music itself to sound good? Are you running through the studio monitors or adding the music later through a DAW?
@radink9 ай бұрын
yes.. you're recording that sound through the camera and directly into the computer at the same time. Line the audio recording up with the video's audio in the software so that it matches the video and then delete the audio from the video part and render it.

I believe most guitarists record each part once and if they're happy with it then all the additional takes would be for getting more visual angles only. I guess each person will have their own preferred process but you don't need to record extra audio takes if you record another angle

To shoot videos from different angles, do you have to record yourself n times while playing? I mean: record the song completely (I don't know,6-7-8 times) and then take the different parts ?
@AbelHernandezguitar4 жыл бұрын
Correct, you have the play the song completely for every angle you take. Then choose the best parts for each part of the song.

@@AbelHernandezguitar Ok, but Abel - I'm interested in the issue of different (angles / shots) vs (audio shots). Do you record one audio shot without video before recording video shots? I ask this question because your recording from this video ('Balance'!) seems to be recorded in one shot when it comes to audio. The second reason why I ask this question is solos. I like when video shots are exactly the same like audio - because when you vibrating your strings with emotions - it should be the same in audio and video in my opinion. So I would like to record 3 different angles with 3 cameras I one shot and one audio. Because it looks more authentically for me. But I think that your video is great! I think it's because 'Balance' is more-riff song than emotional soloing with a lot of authentic vibrato. Thank You for the video Abel. I would be very grateful for your answer but if not - I will still take some advices from you and your video I'm commenting ;)

@Steinjung3 жыл бұрын
Mutiple angle is not that bad, but I look at a lot of Guitar and bass videos (since I'm both myself) and lately it got out of control. Many youtubers put out videos with more that 2 or 3 angles and switch them each 3 to 4 seconds. This really is a pain to watch. With 2 good angles or maybe 3 switching close or far during specific parts can be interesting to see what is happening but switchin for switching becomes a real pain to watch. People should chose if they are making a promotion video or a playthrough. It's like watching those live gigs some bands put out over the years with "more than x cmaera angles". Those shows are unwatchable IMO. Anyway I liked your video and the playthrough part still gave a lot of great "angle" ideas
@Steinjung3 жыл бұрын
Tina S covers are 2 angles (wide and close) and bland background and are stellar :-P It all depends on what is the purpose of the video I think

Are you recording from the phone mic as well?
@Francob783 жыл бұрын
The phone mic most likely sounds like balls...so record the song and video in the same try. So when you edit the video, use a movie editor to use the recorded song from your daw with the video you shot on the phone. If you have an apple product you can use garageband for recording songs and imovie to create your video, both are free programs and work 👍🏻
