I've been here with the edit where the client thought it was the same song throughout out, however because of tempo between each takes the actual song was out back together using all of the different cuts. Thankfully it worked otherwise would have been a little off putting

can you please do a video explaining how to get the money to buy all these lights and equipment. ive been filming for a couple years and its the slowest process upgrading and getting new equipment. for instance you used 4 fernel lights that retail at almost $1,000. how to you earn enough at the beginning to get to that point

Rent the equipment you need and charge the clients in the invoice.

You rent them of course? Ideally you should have at least a decent camera with lenses, a couple lights and stands for those. But you should expect to rent equipment for anything that goes beyond the basics.

Sell your car, rent some, get another job. Do whatever you have to do to get equipment. When i started in photography i would save every cent, until i got some minimum decent equipment. Then try to improve your skills not yout gear. super 8 was shot with homedepot lights and slurpus clamps according to larry fong. No everything that glows is gold.

Interesting how you are supporting your GVM slider. I just bought one and I'm looking for options. I've never seen in done this way before, 2 Cardellini clamps? Is this a better option than the obvious 1/4 thread on light stands?
@FilmSkills
@FilmSkills 4 жыл бұрын
I use the cardellinis to anchor it to a baby or combo stand. Because the rig is a lot heavier and more rigid that light stands, the camera doesn't jiggle when it reaches the end of the track and reverses direction.

The only thing that really bothers me is the sound of dead strings on a Martin Guitar. The sound could’ve been a million times richer. Other than that, perfect effort.

My focus for this video was on lighting and cinematography more so than focusing on the audio recording. But you’re right!

Yeah I was surprised by how out of tune the guitar sounded at times but maybe that’s just this artist’s style. The video was top notch though, looks really slick.
