How to Shoot Three-Dimensional in Still Life Photography

In this episode Urs Recher and Karl Taylor explain how they shot stunning still life images of a Buddha statue.
Their goal in this how-to video is to reveal the three-dimensionality as well as maintain the texture of the subject. By shaping the highlights and shadows they achieved an outstanding final image.

Das ist wirklich ein Spass Euch beiden zuzuschauen. Blöde ist nur, dass ich gerade dabei bin am Blitze evaluieren. Von den Siros habe ich vor wenigen Stunden erfahren. Was mir gefällt ist, dass die Studio Version sich nicht extrem von der L Version unterscheiden. Für mich wichtig weil ich Produkt-Fotos (eigentlich Kunst) machen will aber auch Outdoor mache. Schade nur, dass es die Siros nicht auch noch mit geringerer Leistung (und günstiger) gibt. Manche Gegenstände sie sehr klein und da brauche ich keine 5x 800/400 Watt. PS: Ich glaube meine bessere Hälfte bringt mich um.

Hi Urs and Karl just like to say what a great series of how to's. Just A quick question may be in two parts i, Are you doing a video show the Siros L in HS mode. I did have an email from Broncolor saying it should work with Yongnuo flash controllers? ii. are / is Broncolor developing a new rfs transceiver to allow HS and is this the video that you will make when its ready. Just add one more thing I now have about 5 Siros head and just love them they are just so nice to use so please give every one at Broncolor a big thanks.
