Hey there, I haven’t ordered a laptop with them yet, what I said in the video was that I was gonna show you how to do it from my laptop. But regardless, the insurance is there to make sure that nothing happens to your item and even if so, because it’s insured, all will be made right, so for something as pricy as a laptop, I’d advice you pay for it, and as for packaging, these guys do properly package your items properly and I’ve never had any issue with them when it comes to that, so be sure that when you get your packages, there would be no damages. You can actually do it both ways, but the first one you mentioned is the proper way to do it but you can also still pay Heroshe to procure the items for you, but that comes with a fee, of course. I’d advise sticking with the first option, since it’s Amazon.

Yes, there’s an option, it shows up just before you pay for the shipping fee here to Nigeria, you’re asked to choose either option for home delivery or pick up. It depends actually, before ordering any items from abroad, I’d say, check the average retail prices over here first, and then cross check it with what it will cost if you import from abroad (shipping fee included), if you’ll still make profit when you sell it, then go ahead and import it.

If the item is from another delivery site, then just go ahead and do the shopping and it’ll arrive, but if it’s an individual, then tell them to hand deliver it to their warehouse, with your name and information details, and then that way, Heroshe will know it’s for you, and then ship it down here for you.

I’m assuming you’re using your Nigerian debit card, right? If this is so, there is a $20 shopping limit on all cards, except dollar cards. If you use a dollar card, you won’t encounter this.

No please, Heroshe doesn’t have a dollar card, and for some reasons, all dollar card services all shut down at the same time in nigeria, but there is an alternative to get dollars into your Amazon account. Yes, they are still very trust worthy. The conversion rate if you’re using your naira card will be the CBN rate is, but currently the dollar limit is $20, so if you’re gonna be buying something that’s more than $20, then you have to purchase from the black market and at a higher rate of >$600. No, it won’t, it would be the black market rate, except if what you’re buying is within $20 then you don’t even need it in the first place. This process basically just gives you a dollar card, but in order to put dollar in it you’ll need to buy it from somewhere, which is the black market and at the black market rate, which is >$600.

No, I mean within the country. Ok, here’s a rule of thumb, if the website is like Jumia, where they have delivery agents ship the items to the customers doorstep, then you can go ahead and use Heroshe for that. But, if the website is like Jiji, where the buyer and the seller would have to meet in order for the transaction to happen, then you cannot use Heroshe for that, because Heroshe will not go to the seller for you and pick up the item, the item has to be delivered to Heroshe’s warehouse, (hence why it’s important that they are like Jumia or Amazon) then Heroshe will ship it down to nigeria for you. Oh okay, if what you wanna purchase is $100, it won’t work as there is a limit on the monthly spending of all naira debit cards to $100 per month. If you have met your limit, your card won’t work and you would either have to use another bank card, or wait for another month in order to make your purchase, but if you can’t wait and wanna bypass it, watch this video in the link below. Absolutely! Yes, you can, just have the person put in your name on the item when they’re taking it to their warehouse. Make sure that the name they put is the same as the one on the account you have with Heroshe, that’s how they can link it to you.

Omg, they have changed their address in the US since last year, go to your Heroshe dashboard and check for the new address and put in the new address in your shopping platform, you shouldn’t have that problem this time.

Please don't ever patronise heroshe. Patronise at your own risk. You can check their Twitter and Instagram to see what is currently going on with heroshe. They are not to be trusted at all. Don't be a victim. Edit: My item shipped from heroshe warehouse on December 9th and it's yet to arrive Nigeria. They are now saying that USA customs have confiscated my item for the past 3 weeks now.

Thanks for letting me know this, I just checked now and confirmed for myself what’s going on. I am truly sorry for what you’re going through, it’s quite unfortunate. Until this is resolved, I’m going to have to take this video down so that others don’t fall victims to this as well. I’m really sorry about your experience, and I hope this is resolved soon, I will keep my ears open for updates on the matter and please let me know when you receive your goods. Update: This matter has been resolved and all customers that purchased their items legally have gotten their items, business is back to normal.

Yeah, sorry about that, apparently the authorities seized the items in order to verify their legality of purchase. It’s my understanding that Heroshe has now added new features to their platform to verify it on their platform before shipping it, that way this doesn’t happen again. Once again, sorry about your experience.
