Seems like if tow mode is engaged the sensors should default to off.

Your vids have been informative 👍 I've been looking at getting a Frontier (despite the horrible pricing of all mid-size trucks) in Canada. I would have thought 'tow mode' might disable some sensors so it didn't trigger them with a trailer attached.

you would think it would because every other truck does. I didnt test that out before buying mine, and I seriously regret this truck because of it and that it get worse gas milage than the Ram 1500 v8 it replaced.

🔥🔥 it’s a pain in the ass to do that every time you back up trust me I know I’ve got a 2022 Nissan frontier and let me tell you one if I could buy a brand new 1995 all the way up to a 1997 Nissan hardbody I would get rid of my 2022 Nissan frontier in a very quick second. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Just bought a Pro4X. Anybody know how to keep the cargo bed light off. There is a switch that is on the off position, which I have it in the off position. If I toggle it down it is in the on position. In the settings menu I turned the light delay from 30 seconds to 0😮and it still stays on! I am talking about every time I open the doors on the truck.

Follow the cable from the bottom of the seatbelt latch and unplug it (should be on the bottom front of the seat)

Not all Pro4x have that package. I opted out and done have the side sensors.

I never knew about the sensor and the insurance companies rejecting your claim if it’s off in an accident, wonder if it’s for every vehicle that has that

Having to do that is very annoying. It’s better to unplug it from that button so you won’t have to worry about pressing it each time

i mean i dont have one... but like if i ever did get one. i would know how to do it. just weird to me how all these sensors scream at you and take control of the vehicle... i mean i do pretty fine with my 99 truck with no sensors... weird to me.

I just shut off mine entirely through the settings. Not a fan of that sensor.

I bought mine early enough that it wasn't put in due to the covid shortages still thank God. I heard there is a company that sells something to shut it off but im not 100% on how it works.

Tow mode should be programmed to disable it. That would make sense. But it’s not

I load a kayak into my Nissan and have to shut it off every time but it's whatever at this point .

This is the dumbest "feature" ever to be put on a truck without a way to permanently disable, at the very least this thing should be turned off automatically when the tow button is hit. I just love that the emergency braking only works when I have a trailer connected, I have tested this out with walls and trashcans and the truck will let me hit those without braking, but god forbid I try to hookup or backup a trailer. I am just waiting for this thing to cause my truck to slide down a slick boat ramp in to the water because I forgot to turn it off after having to pull forward to readjust.

This is my only complaint about the truck. It's part of the pedestrian safety systems that will be on all cars soon as it is about to become federally mandated. What I wish they would do is be smart enough to turn off the rear automatic braking when a trailer is attached. Great when you look like an ass while baking in your travel trailer.

@@ericalto22 I agree. It's not perfect, no vehicle is, but I do think it's the best midsize truck out there. It's just the right balance between old school reliability/durability and modern tech, which is why I love it.

Yeah, I just bought one a month ago and cant even use it. It is fine to use as a car but I really think that traditional truck stuff was an after thought. Nissan was way to concerned about making it the best mall crawler they could.
