In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens kzfaq.infoUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

What's happening Chris? Hey I just started using side imaging and your video helped a lot and I understand your boats in the middle when your going over structure but are you reading from the top , middle or rear of your screen image? Thanks and another helpful video

Hey Chris I bought an elite 7ti back in August and having some trouble getting settings to work good....finding the fish on screen but not in water....on a pontoon...any good advise

So how would you fish that rocky area? Anchor up? Seems you would get hung alot trying to drag it unless you had a long structure snake type weight....

Our units are set-up amazingly similar, right down to the color pallet selection and range. You might want to question your sanity if you're doing anything like me......LOL!

Great video, just got my new carbon 9 and trying to figure out the side scanning. When you say to flip the left/right for transom mount what did you mean by doing that. I have mine transom mounted and while looking at the screen I want to show true left/ true ringtone while driving. I cannot tell which side it’s truly reading at this point

So go past a bridge or something else that you can see above the water and make sure your seeing it on the correct side of the screen. If not you can go into the settings on the imaging and flip it so that it's correct.

Chris, is everything you see on side imaging “history “ so it is in real time “behind your boat” So when you see a rock pile on the screen, you need to turn around to fish it ? Thanks..

Great question and yes so as it comes on the screen that’s right under the transducer and as it moves down the screen it gets farther away from your boat.

That’s a difficult question to answer without knowing all the details.

@@chrissouders476 I have the 3 in 1 transducer on the bottom of my trolling motor, as the guy before me had it set up on his system. On my details on unit it shows that my transducer is connected to the unit, but all I get is the center line. I have it set up for internet with hot spot on my phone. Lowrance told me to adjust the frequency, I did, still no picture

For me I can tell what stuff is better but each person sees things a little different. So it's best to play around with settings and colors to see what does best for your eyes
