How to Sidechain in FL Studio 20 in 2 simple methods.
0:00 - Method 1 Fruity Limiter
3:40 - Method 2 Gross Beat
Sidechaining is essential to create space for your kick and bass in the mix. It's very simple to achieve this in FL Studio, these two methods are my favourite.

@If you laugh you sub! Why? You can use the fl limiter, peak controler, volume automation, gross beat, and probably some other native way to do sidechain in FL. Why should someone waste money on a volume automation tool that can do only 4x4 sc?

After years of trying out different DAW´s i finally bought FL Studio 20 simply because it gives me the best user experience for all my stuff. Beeing it creating stuff, arranging stuff, mixing and mastering. For me it does it all the most convinient way. What helped me to instantly boost my workflow are with out a doubt your videos. I always come back to get another simple but useful advice from your stuff. Thanks a lot man, keep up the good work. Cheers.

But proud to say after six months I understand everything you're doing, and the content has helped my mixes sound SO much better. Especially on assuring my acapella track stays up front over the instrumental mix. Thanks man!

I bought fl studio in 2011, tried it a little bit, got overwhelmed and gave up after looking for youtube videos that never really explained what i was looking for. Decided to try my hand on fl studio again last week, found your youtube videos and you explain everything so well you make it feel intuitive. I've been hooked, unnable to think about anything else other than learning more, been making some tunes but being only 4 days in i'm nowhere near making anything good, but i really feel like i'm learning now and i allready know i'm going to get to make all those tracks that have been stuck in my head for decades. I want you to know you're a big part of that. Your tutorials really make a difference! Thank you :)

I've been watching tutorials for over 10 years on KZfaq. You are the first dude who mentions and credits the song at the end. Never thought I'd see that day coming. 99,99% of all KZfaqrs should do this, even though that would make Shazam broke. Also nice to see that you didn't force your video to the 10-minute mark, as a lot of others do. Kudos to that man!

Thank you so much. I've been watching many different FL tutorials and I can usually follow u much easier than most. Your explanations are clear. The zooming in on what u r doing helps. You don't just click things really fast and say "and then... and then... There u go... Easy, right?" 😁. I've been using FL since like the fourth version, but in a really simplistic way and I still can't follow some of these guys. I'm now trying to take advantage of all of its potential. I really appreciate the time you take for clear explanations of not only how to do something but the concept behind it also. Keep up the good work. Thank u.

Nice tutorial, but one method he didn't mention is using the Fruity Envelope Controller to sidechain. For me, the Fruity Envelope Controller in conjunction with fruity balance (on the mixer channels being sidechained) is a nice way to do sidechaining, especially in genres like DnB where you're likely to have complex non-4-on-the-floor rhythms. This method takes a bit of setting up but it gives you a decent amount of control on sidechaining with complex rhythms once you crack it. Specifically, you can trigger hits on the pattern sequencer Additionally you could use this method in conjunction with a fruity formula controller to automate the intensity of the sidechaining. I used this method in a DnB tune I composed using FL Studio.
