Hey yo! So I signed up today for Routenote using your promo code. I live in Asia so, it felt like a no-brainer. Thanks for the video. I especially liked that you expanded on the "free" issue; some people skip over this and it's important to keep in mind. I am "okay" with it for now since I'm not a big artist and I really wanted to make sure I got to the Asia markets. I want my friends to be able to find me....I previously used Distrokid and it was pretty good to me, not complicated, but Distrokid doesn't get to the same Asain markets as Routenote. I also read Ari's Take and he's got A LOT of info on music distributers; if you are looking for more info about other options.

If you don’t have an account on platforms yet, then you type it in that same field before you upload your song.

No charges for the free plan, BUT there is only certain platforms that you can send your music to when you choose the free plan. So just keep that in mind.

Hello, I hope you're doing well. I have a question about the signup process. Should I use the email address that I used to create our KZfaq channel? I am in a duo band with a regular KZfaq channel, not an artist channel yet.

I’d recommend doing so, yes. But it’s entirely up to you. I just think it makes it easier for you to remember the email you have used for all of the platforms you are using.

Have you released your first song through a distributor before? Or is this your first release?

Your profile won’t be created until your first release. Then, you will claim it. So then, for your next release you can input your Spotify profile and it will then show up.
