Predecessor Gameplay of Feng Mao Offlane by Morose.
Learn from GrandMaster Solo Q is a series where I review portion of GM games when they go into solo Q. The goal is to extract how the top player plays and thinks so you can implement some of it in your own games.

Great analysis as always! Any ideas about how to help teammates who are falling behind in a game? Say your offlane is 2+ levels down like the enemy in this game, past roaming to them in the laning stage to help even it out, what would you do to prevent a snowball like this?

Unfortunately if someone get super far behind there is not much that can be done in solo Q and the best is to try to get ahead somewhere else on the map so when grouping comes up someone can deal with the fed person. Here you can see how the Crunch try to come to help and it only puts him behind. So you either need to help them before the gap is to big or then ignore them and they should do their best to farm for the next 20 minutes so they finally may have an impact later on.

Well I would love to but many of the player I want to cover are not playing solo Q in the recent days (since replay mode has been reduced to a handful of days for saving games) and some that have looked for do blatant mistakes during the laning phase which is not what I really want to showcase in those videos. As soon as I find great games that I believe have good educational value I don't really mind from where they are from :)

@@mugiwawa08 Every top player makes msitakes in games, even at the highest level. I don't personally believe that having replays with mistakes lowers the quality of the content in fact you could likely heighten the content by identifying the mistake and giving the viewer some education as to why it was a mistake and way they can likely mitigate it in their own games. If a new player wants to emulate a pro player but doesn't know WHY they are doing the things they are copying, are they truly learning how to improve themselves? I used to coach T1 Valorant for a short time, and players often fall into that trap of "copying" pros. they soon hit the plateau of improvement because they lack theunderstanding past the initial reactions. Every action in a game is a process leading up to it. I just want to encourage you to not worry about what makes good content or what can be the MOST educational. Focus on specific conceptsand draw from maybe multiple games to explain how one player did one thing well and how another maybe didn't or approached the same problem differntly.

@@epps8686 I do plan to incorporate mistakes in the future but I have my own plan and agenda on how I want to approach those series and what I believe as the most value for people, I feel like showing mistakes as you say when people are still very green and are still wondering what should I do is imho not the best approach. First set a standard and once the community is more educated then we can start going into why the details. Otherwise we try to chew too much in one go and people will get lost in the process. At least that's my take on it from the coaching experience I gathered from different field at different level of skill :)

Some ultimate if they get canceled early before they have any impact does not go on cooldown. This is what happened here.

I knew about it, but couldn't see anything that CCed the 1st Earth Shatter. So for some reason I wasn't aware that non empowered forward crunch also has some CC (0.25s stun) >.>
