Love my new LL Bean Winter Walker snowshoes. We just got dumped on, about 8 inches, so got to use them for the first time. Much easier than I thought and didn’t fall!

Be like my grandfather who lived in Canada; make your own walking sticks from good strong straight sticks with hand notches. The best thing about homemade is the can be perfectly made for you, going uphill or down. Pronged bottoms can be added for more security and to use as a weapon, if needed
