How to Solo: Archmage

Hey gamers! Today I'll be showing off the solo mode for Archmage, designed by Tim Heerema and published by Starling Games. In solo Archmage, you will need to construct your spell deck a bit differently, and you will be going up against an automated opponent called the Warlord!

Thanks for posting this! I picked up this game at a reduced price from the publisher at PAX, and having the video is a great refresher on the rules explanations I got at the con. One small note: besides confusing clockwise and counter-clockwise for the Warlord movement, you also confused inner ring and outer ring for his movement a few times. But it's a minor point which doesn't detract from the overall usefulness of this video.

This game really look so boring.. Your review is awesome and I can't wait to check them when you post a new one (I've bought quite few game after seeing your review) but this one really look.. Boring.. :) did you really enjoy it? Do you play often? On another note, it would be nice to have you do a face intro/outro on your review (suggestion, I'll still look at your review) thanks for doing this!

I actually really do like this game! (I don't make videos of games I don't enjoy, you can TELL on film.) I will say, however, that thematically this game looks like a dramatic spell-slinger, but it has a much more puzzly feel to it in practice. I personally enjoy that, but it may not be for everyone. If my videos help you decide one way or the other about a game, then I feel like I did my job. :)
