why not 4 isomers for chlorobutane because we can change the position of methyl group also? In this way we can have 4 isomers not 2.

in question 23, arent the electrons of Z supposed to be arranged as 2,8,8,8,8,1 giving total of 35, and being in group 1, then why are the electrons written as 2, 8,18,7 ?

According to the syllabus, 8 electrons will fill the 3rd electron shell and then 2 electrons will fill the 4rth shell. But after that 10 more electrons will fill the 3rd shell, giving the configuration of 2,8,18,2. This continues and now the rest of the electrons fill the rest of the fourth shell.
