Would've been good if i saw this before my exams 2 weeks ago because I didn't understand it at all on the exam, but atleast i passed to the next year and can watch other videos for other math stuff on your channel

Really liked the video, and wondered if you could do a video on solving cubics.

What do you do when your A coefficient is not 1? Or positive?

Bravo Prof! Quindi P= (1*5)=5. >> S= -(b/2a+c/a)=[ - (5+1)]=(-6) Nota : il regno (-) davanti alla parentesi della Somma indica che le radici ,nel loro prodotto P, devono cambiare di segno,ovvero>>- Verifica: (n-5)(n-1)= [n^2 -n -5n +5 =0]>> [( n^2-6n+5=0)]>>( come volevasi dimostrare!) Why did you divide 6x by 2?
@farhanmustafaa Жыл бұрын
minor correction:- it's a coefficient of 6x being divided (the preceding number behind the x term) which is 6, after doing 6/2, we get 3, and the next part is squaring 3, as it helps us to club the incomplete x terms(which is x^2 -6x) with an identity. in this case (a-b)^2. hope it helps : )

Please why not also a "+" and "-" on (x-3) ?

When dividing by a negative number, we take the sign of it. When a negative divides a negative, the answer is positive. When a negative divides a positive (vice versa too) the answer is negative. When a positive divides a positive the answer is positive.

This is so overcomplicated. X^2 -6x + 5 = (x-3)(x-2) = 0 X = 3 X = 2

completing the square would be used in quadratics where b and c don’t have common factors - you can factorise the equation in the video because 6 and 5 have the common factors of 3 and 2, but with other numbers they can’t be factorised, so this method is much more preferred
